brüud is a leader in sustainable coffee production and brings forward-thinking ideas to reduce industry waste and minimise environmental impact
brüud needed a new e-commerce website, with the capability of having multiple sets of variations per product. They also wanted to move away from WordPress due to site speed issues caused by multiple plugins.
brüud came to us in the summer needing help to develop a replacement website. They wanted a fresh new design to match the vibrancy of their brand and they wanted to stand out and look better than all the other coffee sellers in the UK market.
brüud is a 2-sided business, commercial coffee machines and coffee beans & ancillaries. We needed to take this into account and make the design work for either type of client whilst staying true to their branding and on top of this, we needed to make coffee exciting!
We knew that the site was going to be built on Umbraco and this meant building in Ucommerce. The structure is a hybrid system where Ucommerce handles the shop and Umbraco handles everything else. This means we can have all the functionality that brüud requires, but still keep the site speed at a good level.
IT'S NOT ALL ABOUT THE MACHINES
While coffee machines are big business, once you have your machine in situ, you need coffee, accessories and parts!
brüud has a fantastic range of coffee from some of the best plantations in the world. Whether you want a Columbian roast with a rounded body and flavour notes of chocolate & hazelnut with a sugar browning finish, or truly one of the world’s most exquisite coffees, Panama Geisha with its raspberry, vanilla and tea rose flavour notes.
The e-commerce setup allows for all coffee options to come in multiple-size bags as well as various different grid types. Shipping costs are worked out on the weight of the items in your basket and all the data from the purchase are recorded in both Umbraco and HubSpot (the client's CRM).
